Your First Visit

On your first visit to Caring Touch Massage Therapy clinic give yourself some extra time, as you will be required to fill out a Health History form. This is needed so our Registered Massage Therapist can discuss with you any conditions which should be addressed and determine if Massage Therapy is appropriate for you.

The therapist will ask your reasons for seeking Massage Therapy and ask you to explain any pain, discomfort or concerns you might be having. Depending on the reason for your visit, there might also be a need to perform certain assessments to evaluate your condition. This might also take some extra time and will be included in the price of your treatment.

The therapist will then go on to propose a treatment and explain exactly what she will be treating and why and what results or effects might be expected from the treatment. She will also explain what clothing you might want to take off and how to get on the table, so that she can have your informed consent for the treatment. She will then step out of the room to give you time to undress in private.

Your Massage Therapy Treatment is all about you, so if you don’t like anything or would like the pressure adjusted just let the therapist know. It’s also a good idea to let her know if you particularly enjoy something she does, because she can make a note of it and do more of the same next time.
